Humane mouse traps? Anyone?
Anyone have one I can borrow? My daughter's hamster (or whatever the heck it is) has escaped and we have been unable to locate it. I have found humane traps online, but it will take several days to get one delivered. If someone has one I could borrow, I would appreciate it.
Or if you know where one can be purchased locally, please let me know. I have been calling around with no success.
Thanks!!!

Check your local feed store, the Ful o' Pep's around here usually have them. Hope you don't have a cat.

when I was a kid I had hampsters and they would get out. My dad would get a small trash can and lean a small board against it at an angle which was easy for them to climb. He would put their food in the can and leave it in the living room over night with all the lights out. Worked every time, they would walk up the board and fall over in the can

I'll try that if I can't get a trap. Thanks for the suggestion.

When I was a kid, mine would get out frequently.
I had the cages with the round connector tubes on the end.
I would put the cage on the floor, open one of the ends, and put a "cone" I made out of chicken wire in the hole. It functioned like a minnow trap to allow the hamster to get in but not out again.

Seriously??? That works? I wouldnt do it, seems like it would be too risky, especially when dealing with the childs pet.

When I used to do rodent surveys out in west Texas, I would use Sherman Traps. They work really well.
