My wife and the "wonderful" inlaws are planning a Family vacation
aboard the Disney Cruise ships in middle January. I have two little girls (2&3)
that are very excited about going. However I have a couple questions and concerns (since I have never been on a cruise ship)
1.)Has anyone here ever been on a cruise ship in the Gulf in mid-January?
2.)Has anyone ever taken this particular cruise? (Out of Galveston, I think?)
and if so, how was your experience?
If it is put on by Disney, you can't go wrong. We went on a land-sea package this past January and it couldn't have been better. The park is not as busy and the weather was still nice enough to wear shorts on the boat. We were in the Atlantic and I can tell you that is was a little bumpy the first night. None of my family was sick but there were a few that we saw having some issues. The shows and service is unparalleled. I have never felt as welcomed on any vacation as the Disney package. Your kids are perfect ages. My daughter was three on our trip and has talked about that trip on a daily basis since. I promise you won't regret it.
Last I checked, Disney only runs out of Port Canaveral, FL. One of their stop is their private island in the Bahamas. Hard to may that run from Galveston.
Took my family on the Disney cruise about 3 years ago. It's the only cruise I've ever been on, but I can't imagine any better. Everything was first class, and it's not just geared for kids There's plenty for the adults too, the only thing it doesn't have that I'm sure most other ships do is a casino, but I sure didn't miss it...
