drum Shallow Sport vs. Dargel Scout

Posted this on TTMB but I need a little more feedback. I am torn between a 1986 Shallow Sport 18' and a 1989 Dargel Scout 21'. Motors on these used boats are irrelevant because I will be putting a new one on. Both are in about the same condition, both trailers are in about the same condition, and both need about the same amount of work. The Dargel is about $1,000 more.

Which boat would you all choose? I will be using this from POC to Padre.

21' would be my choice, or which ever boat is in better condition. Your talking 17-20 year old boats.

Which of the two is worth more? Which would be easier to resell down the road?

IMO the Shallow Sport if reconditioned will fetch mutch more money than a reconditioned Skout.

Shallow sport is a runaway, I have owned a SS since 1988. A friend of mine had a Scout and another a Dargel.
