Want to thank Rik for the Snapper bible he sent to me, I called Rik to order a book and we talked for about 30 min. about sounders and locations where I fish, he mailed me the book and said when I received it send him a check .... how do you beat that..
thx again Rik. your check is in the mail.
It helps to love what you do in life. Just so you guys know, I get un beliveable
thank yous in the mail in an ongoing basis & part of the reason I do what I do is because fisherman in general & right down to the man are real people. When they say thanks, they mean it. Part of the reason I have never "burned out" is
what an amazing feeling of satisfaction to see the light come on in someones eyes when they find a submerged obstruction for the first time & they start to catch fish. Fortunately for me it is my favorite subject, so I do not mind talking with people that are working to go to that next level. I learn a lot from new guys that think in different directions or guys that have been at it a while sharing. My new Maps are different than anything on the market & the idea came as a result of "Brainstorming" with friends. Finally, as a must, I make sure they know about 2cool. Rik
Thank you Steve. You have helped me understand in a general manner the lower coast with what you know. I would fish there more if weather & other practial matters would allow. Before it is over we will one on one do lots of looking when I can get away. There are more un discovered & under fished spots in your backyard. Thank you Tom. Your help in the NMFS has been outstanding. Earnest, It would be a pleasure to show you in a real way on the water, why Tom & others are so correct on the real relationship of reef area to Red Snapper. Mabie after we put some pracital examples of this ( & I mean Red Snapper) in your hands you will help us explain the connection to NMFS. I would be glad to explain any of your mis conseptions one at a time on the water. Let me know when you would like to get started. I can not wait to get my hands on your electronics. We can start there like I do with everyone as that is the best way to prove that theory has no bearing on reality & why a man in the field sometimes knows more than an Engeneer. I did not say smarter: I said sometimes knows more. When you can check out Toms Great website. There is a lot to be learned by combining & networking on any problem. Rik
Always a pleasure to fish with people like you that I have learned from as well.
I hope the surgery went well & you are feeling good. Correct me if I am wrong,
but were you not with Brit D. & Texas Contender that won 1 in SKA last year.
Seems like you got a hint from more than me, but I am honored coming from a fisherman like you. Rik
