Attn: 2 coolers the last couple of weekends the lock on the West Chamber has been closed during the middle of the day more than I have noticed before. A quick call on the radio and the lock master gladly opened. Well this weekend he told us of a change beginning April 1st where they will not open the lock except at the top of the hour for pleasure craft. I asked why the change and he just said to plan accordingly. I had seen no other info or notice including on the WEB site that gives river levels which used to post notices occasionally. This will make heading to west bay of problem if you do not hit the lock at top of hour or find a tug going in your direction. http://www.swg.usace.army.mil/Busine...ksSummary.aspx
Wanted to let you know so anyone wanting to could voice their opinion.
