Steering Wheel change/ need Help?

Anyone on here ever switch out your steering wheel on your boat of any kind?

Tried to take off mine yesterday with no luck. I have Teleflex no feedback steering and after you take the one nut that holds the steering wheel on off I can't get it to budge. Tried spraying CorrosionX on it and still couldn't get it off. Tried beating on it with 2 ball ping hammers no luck. Anyone have any ideas or ever come across something similiar.

If I remember right, there is a small slot pin/washer that holds it on.Getting it off is half the battle. Good Luck!

Most auto steering wheels have to be removed with a puller. I would assume this wouldn't be much different.

You will probably have to use a wheel puller depending how long it has been on, it is on a tapered shaft with a keyway and corrosion builds up causing it to be difficult to remove. The wheel puller is not anything special, anyone of them will work.
