GUIDED DEER and BIRD HUNTS
SMITH RANCH
VAL VERDE COUNTY TX.
v 4000 acre ranch of vast South Texas brush country,
in close proximity to Del Rio TX.
v Fully guided guides will be knowledgeable of the ranch and deer, and will have final say on the harvest of the animal (mature, right quality, and safety)
v Still hunting (blinds / feeders), spot & stalk, and rattling are some of the hunting methods that can be expected.
v Only five trophy bucks will be taken during the 05 / 06 season. Trophy buck main frame nine point or better at least five and a half years of age. 135 to 155 B&C can be expected.
v Only five management bucks will be taken during the 05 / 06 season Management bucks main frame eight point or less with no more than one kicker, no drop tines and at least five and a half years of age. 120 to 140 B&C can be expected.
v Trophy hunt - $3000 one trophy buck and a doe (doe optional) fully guided four day hunt
v Management hunt - $2000 one management buck, fully guided three day hunt
v Combination hunt - $4500 one trophy buck and one management buck, fully guided four day hunt.
v Accommodations and two meals will be left up hunter expense (numerous hotels in Del Rio), lunch and drinks and snacks will be provided by the outfitter
v Transportation to and from ranch will be provided by the guides
v No alcohol will be consumed during hunting hours (daylight to dark)
v A Wounded animal will be considered a harvested animal, and everything possible will be done to locate the wounded animal
v Guns will be sighted prior to the hunt
v All hunters will sign a liability release form on first arrival to the ranch
v Deer storage and processing will be at hunters expense
v Weather - can expect low thirties to mid seventies and a chance of drizzle or light rain
v Cameo clothing is recommended with a cameo face mask as well
v 50% deposit required to book your hunt. Full payment will be due no later than thirty days before your hunt
