PM Sat 7/14
My buddy and I went out of PM Saturday morning; on water by 7am. TONS of boats on the water! 1st stop was Community Bar for quick drift; looked like a parking lot of about 20 boats and about as many waders to match. Boats seemed to be anchored up throwing croaker, but didn't see too many hook-ups; but I wasn't too close to see.
My buddy caught one B-Teamer trout. Headed North to try color changes west of Buther's; NADA. Water looked great and plenty of nervous bait, but no takers. Worked clear flats near Buthers and my buddy caught 19" red on a gold spoon and I caught a B-teamer trout on a Texas Roach TTK. Went north towards more flats NADA. Headed back towards Port and the water looked great as it was so calm, so tried deeper water near ICW; NADA. On the way in there were still plenty of boats/waders working Community Bar and water was about as calm as I've ever seen in PM at 1pm.
We threw tops, gold/silver spoons, tails and DOA shrimp. Talked to several others at ramp and at car wash and nobody seemed to catch fish. One group was a group of 5 boats, they had groups that worked all the way to Glady's with no luck and the others went all the way South to Green Island and all areas in between with NO LUCK!
TOUGH FISHING! First time I'm skunked in PM.
