Fishing with the current and wind

hey guys i had a quick question. Lets say the current is pushing you south and the wind is also from the north. I would want to fish the north side of whatever structure i am fishing?

Also if the current and the wind arent working together would i just fish which ever one felt the strongest?

There is a great article by Kevin C about fishing in the wind in the TSFM last month or a few months ago. I think most people would say search for protected shorelines from the wind and go from there and try to find good water.

Tobin's Trout Support DVD explains this really well. I would suggest picking them up. My kids and I both learned a lot from them.

this is how i fish im sure someone will disagree but say im fishing a small island and the tide is north to south(outgoing) and the wind is south to north i would try to fish the south side of the island if you can fight the wind. the fish should be setup down tide waiting on the bashed up hurt bait to wash their way. if i cant fight the wind i try and set up where the tide first hits the island or wait for the tide to sift(incoming tide) so i can fish down tide and down wind
