Do you throw DOA's

Still trying to catch something w/ my assortment of gulps at the dike... Soon as I switched to a "clear" DOA shrimp....bam....something took the cork down as soon as it hit the water... lost it tho!!

How do you feel about the DOA's? curious

I'd rather throw DOAs than deal with a bucket of shrimp everytime I go fishing.

I have more confidence in a DOA shrimp than any other lure in my box V. I don't lure fish a whole lot but have had the best luck with DOA.

I have caught some nice specks and reds on DOA. I usually just bounce them off the bottom and work them in the current. Work them slow and twitching. One of my "the big fish that got away" stories was on a DOA in the surf. A big speck blew it up about six feet from me. Surprised (scarred) me so bad I yanked it right out of his mouth.

Absolutely. I use them quite a bit in early to mid fall when the shrimp are pulling out of the estuaries. They are also good for finding fish when things slow down a little. They make a swimmng minnow with a curly tail, comes in black/silver, red/white and some other colors. A few years ago I fished the black and silver around the rocks in Pensacal for several days, it was a great bait.
