Despite the Bull Tides we've been having in Matagorda, we've been doing well. The fishing is going to be fabulous this Summer, and pumped up about the future action that is to come. Brown Lure Devil Eyes, and Tidal Surge plastics have been my go tos, but it's hard to beat a Chickenboy slow dragging the bottom for a Flounder, "they'll eat em up". Its hard to say what water depth has been the most productive within the past week due to the high tides, but the sandy grass beds have been holding the most bait. Lure presentation has been key, and I've been slowing down the presentation so I can fish 4' of water just as well as I can 1'. Seems to me the fish have been on the bottom, because we've been getting hammered when the lure is in it's downward motion. Our morning bite has has been the best due to the heat, but when I've been going out on my own in the eve's I've had a fabulous "at dark" bite likewise. I'd like to give a big Thank You to "Stoney", and group with the CCA, and also "Jack", and group out of Angleton, Tx, "Ya'll Were A Blast" to fish with, and I hope to do it again soon with you guys!. I appreciate you for reading my reports! If your looking for a great day on the Bay in the Matagorda Bay Complex give me a shout, "You'll Love It".
