My Dad and I launched from the Texas City Dike at dawn, and found a rough bay, with lots of smoke from the fire out in Anahuac. It was a slow bite until 10:30, when things finally turned on. We boxed these 9 specks drifting deep shell, keying on slicks. Had a good bite for about an hour, then it shut off again. After that, the wind laid down, and so did the smoke. We high tailed it back to Sugar Land to drink a few cold ones.
