West Bay Holiday
Sorry for the late post...I've been under the weather. We fished West Bay each morning of the Memorial weekend with very little action. The bite was very slow with several followers but only a few takers early. I think we had a late afternoon bite, but couldn't fish then because of family obligations. (Lots of trout and reds in the canal just after dark.) This weekend the tides turn around and we're hoping for a morning bite again. One highlight was seeing a tagged red caught by one of my neighbors who was not entered in the Star. That's probably the closest I'll ever get to one. My advice is: don't take the chance, enter the tournament.
