I got a hot tip from Pat Wilson (Fellow 2 Cooler) about the trout hot spot on Trinity. We got a late start as we decided to get some shrimp at the last minute. The water was glass smooth and two foot visibility. We arrived at the spot around 0700 and there were blowups all over the place. I threw all kinds of artificial at em but they weren't having any of it. I switched over to shrimp under a cork and managed to box 4 nice trout. We also managed two black drum and some croaker. Thank goodness we decided to pick up the shrimp or we would probably have gotten blanked. The bite ended around 0830. Thanks Pat for the 411!
Shrimp under a cork was the ticket today and nothing else seemed to matter.
