Capt. Hollis Forrester "Matagorda" 5-29-12
May will be over with soon, and these high winds are soon to be over with. May is not the easiest month to fish, its always a hit or miss. June is almost here, and for us wade fisherman it'll be a blessing. Despite some of the odds we've had to face we've still been on fish in Matagorda. Using plastics such as Tidal Surge, Big Nastys over the grass beds have been the goto. The Rockport Rattling Jig Head has produced a great bite when things get tough, and slowing down the retrieve has been a must. Redfish have been thick on the shore lines, and the Trout have been scattered in the deeper waste deep water. The Summer time patterns are finally falling in place, and it's going to be some great fishing. Look me up for a great day on the Bay, you'll love it. Thanks For reading the report.
