Bay Flats Lodge on San Antonio Bay Report
by Captain Chris Martin
Trout to 23-inches on Monday were found with several boats knocking out limits. Best action was over submerged oyster shell; tapered drop in 3-5 ft. of water. From the previous day's results, trout would be the main target. The key Monday was working stained water while focusing on the transitions of guts between shell pads. The lodge was proud to host a large corporate event that resulted in a 9-boat schedule. Props to BFL Captain Cooper for 1st place with Ray P. & crew.

I was invited as a guest, and the whole experience was great. I have a beach house in Holly Beach La. and we fish the lake and jetties out there.. That was my 1st drift fishing and I liked the pace of keeping up with the cork...Our guild David was the best!!

We can't express how much fun we had with Nathan! He was very easy going, great personality and extremely knowledgeable about wading and the areas to fish. Our family talked about the day several times about how much we enjoyed our day of wading. Thank you for your professionalism in having us come back, we truly see why Bay Flats has the excellent reputation it has earned! We'll be back and will always ask for Nathan, he did an outstanding job! Thanks again, Carrie
