Surfside morning trip 5-16

We were on the beach at sun up with a quart of shrimp. Water was off color (sandy brown) with a rolling swell. Started off slow. Lost several shrimp but knew it wasnt trout cause of their tails being bit off. Finally started catching trout, caught about 5 keepers 16-20 inches within 45 minutes. Had to go back to the truck after a break off. Went back out and managed 3 more keepers and 5 big whiting. Ran out of shrimp and switched to topwater..nada....new penny gulp..one dink. We were out of the water by 10. Great day of fishing tho. It was pretty cold tho with that north wind. Pic was taken after the break off. Seaweed was terrible on the beach but not bad in the water.
