5-14-12 WB fishing LL Point Blank side (proud moments)

my wife and my boy and myself went out this evening on lake livingston. we got there around 6pm and we were off at 7:30pm, we caught over 50 fish. i was so proud of my son who i have been teaching the outdoors to since he was 2yrs old was bringing in all the hogs today while trolling with no help from me or his mom at all except to reach down and pull the fish in the boat and take it off the hook, about every 50ft it seemed he would say i got one it just came natural to him and this was his first time trolling. im telling you today has been on of the proudest moments for me. we only kept 26 because i didnt feel like cleaning any more than that with my manual filet knife. atleast ten of them were over 15 inches the rest 12 to 14.5in, i said son its time for us to get off and go clean these fish and he would say just one more dad, and that went on and on for atleast 10 minutes. he could not get enough. we through all the 10 and 11 back so they could live to bite another day. my son said after we got back, dad every time you get off early can we go fishing i said sure son we can....

That does sound like a great trip! Enjoy these moments - they grow up fast. I have one at LSU and the other a freshmen in high school.

Thats what it is all about. Take what you need and keep having fun. Give jigging a try sometime if you mark alot of fish on the depth finder. It can be very addictive once you get the hang of it. My grandson is 3 and I can't wait to get him out there.

my boy already asked if we could go this evening, i said not today bud its raining and you might get pneumonia, my wife and I stop trolling once and started jigging we caught 5 or 6 in no time at all, this was the first time she ever caught anything on an artificial lure, but then i look over at my little one and he was struggling with the jigging so i said lets go troll some more. it wasnt about me just him and her, i cant wait till my 2yr old can start..
