well i am buying one and dont mind sharing lol, but it is actually better then a kayak you dont have to get wet or evan thrown off a kayak and shoots as far as a kayak and dont have to spend over a hour to put baits out and come back tired, so why buy a kayak when it takes all negatives from kayak o yah one more i dont loose my gear lol thats the biggest one, but feel free to comment still i just see to many goods then bads with it, so does any one own one or everyone is anti sand blaster lol

Unless there is something I am missing here it seems like you could just make a potato gun out PVC and use co2 canisters. Probably a heck of a lot cheaper. Does seem like a more efficient way to surf fish though.

I think you'll find most people are anti sand blaster. With a long spinning rod i don't see why you couldn't wade to the first bar and cast as far as this thing shoots from the beach. I've seen the videos and it doesn't look like it goes all that far.
A kayak would be more for really large shark baits on heavy geat not casting cut bait. If you are just chunking mullet I would save the money and get a good surf rod and cast from the first bar.
It would be neat to play around with though, but more as a novelty.

Didn't know they where illegal. Just out of curiosity how is it the bait launcher is legal?
Seems to its the same as a spud gun. I guess cuz one is called a gun and the other a bait launcher.
