Mouth of the brazos

A couple of friends and I are planning a trip to the MOB. We plan on arriving Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. How safe is it out?

Not bad, but conditions there like San Louis Pass can change with the tide.

Is the river still pumping sandy Brazos water or did it clear up some?

I've been down before, just never camped. No way are we wading. I know all to well about the dangers. I had a co-worker lose his life down there a couple years back. We're just planning on throwing big rods out and kicking back.

Got that covered! I never leave home without it. I plan on carrying the entire time. Just don't want any trouble.

Yes - River looks green. I'd be packing skeeter spray!

It's not quite as bad there as it is at SLP, but my motto is "better safe than sorry".
