I noticed your uni to uni, it works too, i just prefer the albright. It seems more streamlined. I have been trying to tie the gt or sebile knot but not much luck making it not bind up and leave the rear wraps loose. Ill get it one day. Its supposedly the strongest and most streamlined.

Yeah the uni to uni can get "caught" a little in the tip of the rod, but it's almost unnoticeable.

I make sure to snip the tag end of the mono close to prevent it but youre right. I wanna tie the sebile knot so bad i can taste it. I was doing a pretty good job keeping up with the spinning reel no?!? Nothing like a little friendly competition! I love it!

In that wind!? Yeah I'd say...B threw a spoon on Sunday with the bait caster...the spoon popped off at the leader and sent his bait caster line into a free spin....I've never seen a nest that good before LOL!!

That sebile is one slim knot! Still have to trim it close. I use it for test casting micro guide(size 3) rods made for others. Personally, I still use mono, rather than braid.

Sebile( gt) knot is the way to go. I've been saying it foyer months. Just take the time to learn how to do it properly.

Mac- you still haven't figured it out yet?

Blood knot from braid to fluoro. I keep the leader line about the length of the rod with a Tony Clip at the end so you're not constantly decreasing the length of your leader line each time you change lures.

modified albright is what i use. the extra wraps keeps the braid from cutting the flourocarbon,i was haveing a slight problem with this(when i pop the knot to check it or on a back lash that sent the leader and lure flying) but i think being old vanish was really my problem.

That vanish is weird like that, it breaks itself easily sonetimes and doesnt like palomars. I just use 20# clear big game instead, ive got more trust in it.
Dharbaugh, not yet man, not yet. It perplexes me! Once i get it right ill know what im doing wrong! You pickin up what im puttin down? Lol. Ill get it

Thanks for all the post really interesting stuff. Defiantly gone try the sebile knot I guess I should say attempt.
Had a real good red pop off this weekend right at the knot but it didn't look like the knot came undone. Looked more like it broke off at the knot. Like I said I was using the Albright. Gone try some of these other knots out.
Does anybody of a way of testing the breaking strength of these knots or website that would have that info?
