Galveston surf Sunday AM
Arrived 8am, minimal wind, flat surf, but water off color at 61st street pier, off color at galveston pier, off color at east end channel. spent 1 hour at east end in channel, 2 sand trout on live shrimp and several small croaker along with other pan fish on fresh dead shrimp. cast netted small mullet 4 bait and headed for roll over pass around 10:45 but ferry wait was too long. headed back to rock groins on seawall around 45th. nothing biting. At 1:45 green water in casting distance. Multiple poles out soaking live finger mullet, live shrimp, small croaker, and fresh dead shrimp. Occasional small sand trout couple small flounder and mild sunburn. tried artificial and silver spoon with no luck. Gave up around 3:15. Great day for fishing but bite was off. maybe Monday will be better
