sheepshead Magnolia Beach / Indianola

I am heading to magnolia beach this weekend with a few coworkers to camp and fish. We set up near the picnic area and caught a few gaff top on dead shrimp last month before the weather chased us out. Can anyone suggest a more productive way or location to fish on that stretch? I fished there in the 80's and caught a bunch of reds and croakers every time. Has the fishing changed here?

Go down to Indianola fishing center in the evenings. They have a lighted bulkhead for fishing the pass coming into powederhorn lake. Trout under the lights in the evening.
