Insulation for garage?

I had a garage built about a year ago and I want to insulate it. It's a wood frame with metal siding and metal roof, concrete slab. No vapor barrier was used prior to putting on the metal siding. What type of insulation should I use? Do I need to put up some kind of vapor barrier first? I prefer to do this myself. I'd appreaciate any advice I can get. Thanks.

I would get kraft faced R-13 for the walls if they are 2'x4' studs, R-19 if 6" studs.
Kraft is just another name for paper faced
