Well, left Bridge Bait around 6am in the dark on sat, headed out to the deep blue.. Stopped at a rig early and made bait...headed to Salvador ridge. Caught and released nice Gag Grouper-estimated 15-20 lbs... caught and released some endangered snapper. Headed to Sunrise, dropped some livey's down and about 1/2 way down...BOOM>.. AJ's were home. Caught 2, one 52 and one 59lbs.
Headed to both cervezas and only a couple barracuda to show for it, headed out to Nancen..arrived around 430 pm to a Pile of boats. Trolled for about an hour with no luck, So started Jigging.. Caught quite a few blackfin on the jig and several on surface with poppers. Caught a nice nap from 2-5am and caught a few more blackfin in the morning, not much going on for the morning bite, so headed back in.
Stopped at 4 different weedlines looking for dodos, found one holding fish, but couldnt get them to eat.
Stopped at sunrise on the way in, caught a shark or two. Got back around 1pm.
Seas were flat, lines were tight.
