Went solo to find some crappie. Had some great looking minnows. Tried by the dam. Tried the 1097 bridge and them ran north and into the creek channel first on the left. There I fished the tree stumps. I had no idea those stumps are in 18ft of water. I tried shallow and deep. Only 1 nice catfish the whole morning. Great day to be on the water. I did not see anyone else catch a fish.
I launched the boat and wanted share a technic I think Matt told me about. I tie a 75ft rope to the front of my boat and to the truck with the rope in the back. Ease the boat into the water and hit the brake. The boat moves off. Pull the trailer up so you don't get out into the water. Get the rope from the truck. Pull the boat over to the dock and tie it off. If you do it right the boat is already heading for the dock. I couldn't have 5 people helping and do better.
Getting the boat back on should also be just as easy. If you park the trailer just right the boat pulls all the way ups and you just attach the winch. Step from the boat to the truck and just pull it out. I also helps to be able to drive a boat and hit the trailer on the first shot.
Keep to one side so others can launch!
If your waiting on me you might want to look behind you. I am already parked and putting the reels away
