I have an older (60 years) Sako 243, it shoots great. It is showing wear and tear from years of family using it (my Dad's gun). I'm thinking of getting a Camo wrap over the whole gun.
Question:
1. Will it affect the shooting performance ?
2. Will it cause any problems down the road ?
3. Should I get it professionally cleaned after the treatment ?
You might look into having someone Cerakote it. You can read up on it at cerakoteguncoatings.com. I don't have any guns that have been done but the few that I've seen up close seem to be done really well.
