Electrical Question

Ever since I've owned my boat, the radio will cut out when I start the engine or operate te jack plate. I know that these two are probably drawing the most and cutting out the radio but is there a fix for this??

I'm guessing rigging 2 12V in parrallel might give enough juice??

Thanks.

It is normal for the radio to cut out when starting the engine, but the jack plate should not affect it. I would check the pos and neg radio connections. Check all electrical connections for corrosion and make sure they are tight. After cleaning and tightening, spray them with Corrosion X.
