Panama in Feb
Planning a trip to Panama in late February. Tuna-Marlin-Roosters. Who's been? What outfitter did you use? Airline? Any info would be helpful.

I would highly recommend Propiedad de Paradise. http://www.fishpanamatoday.com/
It is located on a private island 12 miles off the coast in the Gulf of Chiriqui...only a few miles from the Hannibal Bank.
It is run by Capt Shane Jarvis...a great guy who will take wonderful care of you.
Airline-wise, you can fly Continental (United) direct to Panama City from Houston, so that is the way to go. If you contact Propiedad de Paradise, they can help with transfers to the lodge.
Good luck...

Went last July
Others here have been more times. Wife and I fished 4 days. Caught 2 black marlins, 1 blue marlin, 5 roosters, 1 big cubera. Good place if you just want to arrive and have everything included. No decisions on where to eat, etc. www.tropicstar.com.

I would highly recomend the Gulf of Chiriqui, and more specifically Panama Sport Fishing Lodge. I've been going down there for the past several years and it has to disapoint. You wil not regret this decision. Here are a few pics form our trips.
BTW February is PRIME TIME, enjoy!
