BIG E 36 hour report

Fished a private 36 hr Charter on the Big E this past Friday and Saturday. Had a great trip. Caught plenty of Snapper, AJ's, Blackfin, a few Yellowfin, and Grouper (released). The Big E is one awesome ride. Capt Frank and the whole crew did an outstanding job of putting a fairly inexperienced group of bluewater fisherman on alot of fish. Only had eight yellowfin to 61 pounds, but 4 of them were on Topwater Tuna hunters purchased from Chris at Islanders Tackle in Galveston. What an awesome sight to see yellowfin crashing a topwater. This is the trip that Capt. Casey told me was heading to Gunnison. Looks like they found some YFT, very nice.

We're a go for Option 1.

Im curious why the grouper were released? seasons not closed yet or was there some other reason?

Thanks for posting the pictures Mike. The trip was great and we got to watch the Astros win on the way home. The TV's and sound system on that boat are nicer than my home system. Thanks for putting together a great trip -- Steve

thanks to the hole Aces group for putting together a great trip. I know how hard you guys worked to keep us all fed and still catch your share of fish. I have been on a lot of offshore trips and this one ranks right at the top.Good food,good company,great boat and great fishing thanks again Paul
