Port A 10/7-10-9

Headed down Friday afternoon leaving sucky cold wet weather behind.
Saturday was nice, met up with Coastal, and Army Airbone (Keith and his crew). Went fishing with Coastal and caught a 22" Snapper from the end of the South jetty, pretty Cool!

Also saw them hauling a pretty large rig out of the Jetties on Saturday.

Must have just missed the best part of the Bull Red Exit as we never did get one and only saw maybe a dozen caught all day.

Went Offshore on an un-named Party Boat operation that I won't go with again. Caught a few decent snaps and some sharpnose shark.
Seas offshore were unbelievably flat, almost didn't look like the gulf to me...

Had a great time, it was my birthday and I really needed a break.

Also met a lot of 2cooler's, and even some lurkers on the Jetties that had seen the posts from last weekend.
Met Coastal, Argo, ArmyAirborne, and a couple more and it really is great to put a face to a "handle" (man that sounds wierd)

Thanks to Coastal for taking us on the bay cruiser for a fun afternoon, and showing us that awesome guac at some little mexican joint in the middle of town.

Here are some pics

yeah we caught more sharks than anything too. good to meet you, sorry we didnt get to kick back longer, we were tired and worried about the ranger guy because he was identifying one of our sharks as a silky which would have put us in danger of a ticket if it was true. Even when cleaning it, I really couldnt tell.

Oh I'm off to Colorado today.
Adios
