KKR started out as a buy/breakup group; hope they've changed their spots. This can go either way, either a great thing (they don't mess with a successful regional business model as a specialty retailer) or a bad thing (it becomes Dick's or Gander Mountain, or flipped to someone like them, and they dumb it down to only stock prime movers on the shelf and lose the specialty feel).
KKR parks a ton of Chinese money, that's just a global economy thing, but it will give some Academy shoppers heartburn.
