Flats from Seabrook to San Leon

Hey guys Im trying to hit some new spots other than Gtown west bay and TC. I see a lot of good reports from the flats in the title and I have done some scouting around those areas but I never see walk in wade fisherman out there. I even bought that map with all the kayak and wadefishing spots and it says theres road access but those places are mostly residential. All I see is bank fishing in those areas. Are there any places where parking is available with access to the bay?

walk-in

There are plenty of places. The end of Grand ave in Baycliff, the Spillway, cemetary rd, etc. All can be productive at times. You just have to explore. At some of them you will proly never see another wader, which is fine by me.

Todville Road has a couple of good walk-in spots. There's a small bridge near the Pier 8 resuarant and there's a small place to park just to it's north. You can walk-in and wade the little lagoon area or you can walk across Todville Road and walk-in the bayside and fish the flats. The bridge area itself can get deep so be careful! Also, as you are wading the bayside flats, you want to remember to shuffle your feet and be very aware of submerged pilings from old piers! The other spot is a little north of there, just past second street. You can park on the left and walk across Todville Road to fish the bayside flats. I offer the same advise I gave you at the last location! You should also know that this south wind is not a good or even fair wind for these areas! North, nw, w and even sw are much better for fishing this area! Just my .02!

If you do not have a boat then look on TKF. Kayaking might be the ideal thing vs wading ukn waters. Esp in those area where there is a 100+ years of building and junk in the waters.

Met a guy 10 or 11 years ago and we are still friends and fish together from meeting on one of my first kayaking trips to theRollover area.
