Help info

what do i do to a prime-rib roasts taste like resturants do before i cook it? thanks

Not alot. Just like a good steak I don't want alot of seasoning throwing off that good flavor. Now...$3 steaks...thats different. A good rub of salt, pepper and maybe a bit of garlic powder should be plenty for your roast.

BE SURE it's PRIME if that is what you want......

Wash with cool water and pat dry with paper towle...

Rub down with Worcheshire (sp) and lots of powdered garlic...

Cover with Kosher salt--- at liest 1/8th inch all over.....

Add more garlic to top of salt......

Cook uncovered @ 230 deg till internal temp of 128 degs..... = rare

Anymore than 130, well, You might want a ribeye not Prime rib !!!

Remove and let stand for 8 min.......

Flake off salt, cut and enjoy .............

Rub the outside with Beef Base. That gives it the salty crunch you get in resturants.
