a great weekend

Kind of a cross over report. Fished Saturday and duck hunted today. Three limits of redfish plus a bunch of CPR's and three limits of ducks. We fished Galveston and duck hunted in a slough off of the Trinity River. Cool and windy fishing, cold and wet duck hunt. I am sitting on the couch now sorta watchin football. My tired is hanging out.

Is that a "Pico Perch?" Sounds like you had a good time.

Thanks, Jim I did. BTW, we fished for about five hours for trout, not a single fish. I think they had lock jaw. The water looked great and the tide was moving. Couldn't get a bite.

Nah, the corn is for the deer. I quit outlawing a long time ago. Tatter, I don't think this place has a name, but is a pretty golden place for hunting ducks. This is about the third time this year we hunted it, all the hunts were good, this was the best so far. As you can see, lots of gaddies today, but normally lots of woodies and sometimes mallards. We expected more mallards with this front pushing in. Probably one more trip to this hole before the season ends. This is definitely an old mans place, hunt in rubber boots and let the dog get wet. Don't need dekes or waders. Like the outlawing, I quit hauling dekes through the mud a long time ago.
