Short Trip Cost

Food for thought...........

100 gals boat gas@ $3.00 (conservative) $300
30 GALS TRUCK GAS $ 90
BOAT OIL IF NEEDED $ 20
BAIT, ICE ,BOAT FOOD, ETC $ 70

split 4 ways = $120 each

if gas were back to $2.00 , it would cut $130/trip or $32 a head.

a day on the water is still worth $120 to me.

now try to expalin to someone that doesn't fish why those 4 snapper are worth $30 each...........oowwwwwww

My wife asked me if I was going fishing this weekend-----I told her no cause of gas prices, had me thinking of future offshore trips myself. You forgot a room---make it $200 for a short trip, hope nothing breaks, ect. Might have to sleep in he back of the truck to save a buck.
