Small Offshore Boat?

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. My family and I mostly fish the bays, I went offshore once on an 18' fishmaster with a 115 hp suzuki, didn't like it. I only went three miles out of Port Aransas. I currently own a 20' sea chaser flats with a 140hp suzuki. My question is, is this boat big enough to fish close to the jetties?
