The Samuri Tarpon Fisherman - Jim - and I went out for a day on the water today. Perfect conditions. Water was fantastic off the west end of Galveston.

Jim and I saw some fish and jumped one. Had a couple takes too on casting rod but we jumped our fish on the thirty second line, trolling. About 120lb fish. Got three jumps out of her before we lost her. Threw the hook.

Serves you both right for torturing me with that phone call this morning. At least you got the good out of her before she shucked your hook. Tight lines, Chris

I fished the area from san luis pass to about 4 miles north of the pas on sunday. did not see any fish or bait of any quantity,a few mackeral and a few small schools of pogie. I ran the area anywhere from a mile to 4 miles off the beach. I was hoping you might be able to advise me if the area I was in is a productive one or maybe I should work a little more north and east>
