flounder Floundering

me and my dad are going to freeport for spring break and I was wondering if the flounder are in shallow water right now. I want to go gigging, but my dad said he did not think they were laying shallow this time of year. Please help me.

They should be moving back into the bays. It's a great time to check it out.

There is still alot of flounder in the bays still. If the weather gets back up into the 60's at night they should be there at night. I went in febuary last year and found limits. Try San luis pass on galveston side at the start of the incomming tide.

POC flounder

Went last night to POC. No flounder. Tides were too low to sustain tidal pools and sand was too cold for shallow gigging. I thing luck will change when the tides are high and only two a day. I would definately look for mud bottom areas.
