Digital camera date stamp removal

I went to New York last week and took some great potos of the "frozen" Niagra Falls. While we were there the battery went dead in my camera so I replaced the battery. Now most of the pictures I took have the wrong date on them. The camera dosent give me the option to go back and take the date stamp off of the pictures that have allready been taken. I asked wallgreens if they could edit them and they told me its not posible. So Im asking you guys what can I do?

Not sure what photoshop you have but it does have the option of using clone/ stamp tool to remove them off the JPEG, Maybe you can crop that portion off of the image.

Bummer. Send a few to me and I'll get rid of that date for you.
It's best to leave that time date etc off.

Well, you won't be able to take it off the pics you already took. It's too late for that. When you edit in Photoshop there are eraser tools and clone tools you can use to take it off. It's a lot of work that's why I said I'd do a couple for you. Photoshop Elements 8 is pretty good software to get. You can buy it almost anywhere like Sam's, Fry's, Office Depot.

You can do your self a big favor by turning that darn date stamp off. It is nothing but UGLY.

If you can't remove the stamp, the only other option is to crop the images so that part of the picture doesn't show. That will probably ruin most of the pics if that part of the scene is important.

Photoshop Elements is less than $100 and has all the tools to edit your pics.

Or, you could just load up GIMP. It is free forever..an open source program.. Does most of the things that the more expensive programs do. It will take some learning..but.....it will do the job. All of the programs suggested will take some learning to use. Rich
