It was a whole lot colder today than yesterday! But the blue cats love it when it's cold and overcast so dbullard, Nick and ICdeez, and me went out to drift for big blues.
We didn't connect with any over size cats, but iCdeez did get his personnel best on R&R, a nice 17lb blue.

Ten pounders were hitting like they were twice as big, pulling the rods down hard and giving us some excitement.

We did miss a fair number of good hits, anyone of them could have been the big one, but you never know unless you hook them!
The cold air was a big change from yesterday's sunny skies and I am just now getting my core heat back to normal.
iCdeez hung with us pretty good for a crappie fishermen on the cold and windy blue cat day, however I bet he is looking forward to pulling out of Broken Arrow Marina and catching some of his pet crappie on his next trip, lol.
Really I am too, as I am out of fresh crappie and need some more!
The wind was brisk and we put over everything we had to slow us down to a good drift speed, two buckets and both drift socks just barley kept us at .5 drift speed. And just when we would get a good bite the big swells would rock us hard and pull the bait away from a fish, we missed twice as many hits as we connected on.
It was still a great time fishing with these guys and look forward to going again soon.
All the fish were caught on cut buffalo in 32' of water. The water looks good out on the main lake too, hopefully the next round of rain wont muddy it up too bad.
See you on the water.
