Southshore VDR

Anyone have any input on the Southshore boats, Customer service etc., especially the VDR, looking to purchase a 22' VDR, draft, speed, rough water. Thanks.

May want to try a search as that topic as been covered quite a bit lately. Check out the Southshore V Haynie thread there a lot of good info on there. BTW the Haynie won out in the end for him anyway. My buddy in Lamar bought the 2nd or 3rd 22' and he likes it but I don't think it quite lived up to his expectations in rough water.

Compared to what other 22 footer w/ a 8'10" beam ?Driving ability also has alot to do w/ how a boat rides in different sea conditions.......just saying.

22 VDR

This is me running mid 60's in Caranchua bay.If you look in the background you'll see whitecaps.I was also running mid 60's in that stuff w/ no problem. There's a couple of guys that run the 20VDRs in some very nasty stuff during tournys and they came out of 22 footers ( non Southshores ).They love the ride. Maybe Solid Action will chime in on how his 20VDR rides.

One thing to remember.....every person has a different view ( opinion ) in what a smooth or rough ride is.

If I was not running charters, I would be in a 22 VDR w/ 300 Merc XS in a heartbeat !
