Lake Palestine...
My buddy that has a place on the lake was up there last week with 3 various bro in laws, cousins etc. The lake was on a rise, and they stayed for 6 days.
He keeps pretty good records and counts "keeper sized" fish boated. They caught 425 in those 5 days! Ran a couple of trotlines (50 hooks and a 25) and R&R fished. Most on RR were channels caught on Danny King in about 25' water.
Trotlines baited with weenies, shad and squid.....said best results were on squid. One 40# blue, one 30# blue, 2 ten/twelve pounders, and 6 or 8... 6#ish ones.
No they didn't keep them all, but do have their freezers set for a couple of months...they and I eat a LOT of catfish!! LOL I am supposed to go up there about the 15th, and I need to restock the freezer...down to 2 bags.
