$22 a case???
I sopped in the convienence store this morning to get my taco and 44oz Coke fix... While waiting I glanced at the beer cooler...
OMG!!!!! $22 for a case of Budlight!!!!!!!!!!!!
Somebody on this board said it was coming, but sometimes you really don't pay attention until you see it... With TAX, thats a $1 a beer. I guess all the bars will be charging $5 a beer now..??
Did the price of liquor go up too?

Earlier this year, I went into a convenience store and bought a case of coors light.. said $18.99 or something... went to pay and the clerk charged me $22+ for it.. I said nope, the price is $18.99 according to the fridge door... she said the price went up and I said not with this one. Owner was not there, she called them, they said price went up.. I said nope.. they sold it for that... but the price went up after that.. LOL I saved $3.. wooo hooo BTW, HEB, Randalls, etc.. have it for $18+ still.

Depending on where one stops to buy beer, the prices vary. Beer in bars, esp in large cities like Houston, is WAY overpriced. $5 isn't unheard of. Its really cheap wed nights at WildWest though
The price on scotch and whiskey, at least the ones I drink has not gone up...the price of beer has though, esp in the last couple of months...its to be expected though...people drink more in tougher times.

If you look around you can find good beer prices everywhere, Wet Spot has dollar beers and 35 cent wings on wednesday's starting at 7 (you can pretty much bet that i'll be there every wednesday) and christians tailgate does dollar beers on mondays...those are two good spots. Starting a thread now about this actually...
