Finishing Garage
I just moved into a new house and the detached garage is not finished. My plan as of right now is to build a work bench and a few shelves. For the walls I was thinking peg board. If anyone has any cool ideas or know of a better approach I would love to hear it. I have seen online wall panel systems that help you organize but not sure if its worth the money.
Thanks

if its just stud walls, i would recomend a little insulation in the ceiling and walls, mine gets hotter than heck in the summer. we had a large garage we stored our motorhome in several years back and just built work benches down one side, peg board up to about 7ft and a shelf on top of that. the rest was left unfinished. I think you can set up a nice work area with out using the organizer systems like the GLadiator system. I have a couple of there cabnets, they are nice, but could have done the same with pre fabed kitchen cabnets and just painted them. good luch and and have fun with it.

I recommend a shelf all around the top 18-24 inches. It is great for getting bulky stuff (ice chest, christmas lights, tackle boxes, etc.) off the floor. I also like a set of shelves around 4-5 feet wide all the from floor to cieling for odds and ends that can not be hung with peg board. stuff like touch up paint, car wax/polish, propane torch, engine analizer, etc.

Rippin Lips....that's looking pretty good!
By the way...my 3rd car garage is no longer a man cave, that lasted about two months, it's now back to a shop/garage.
