Be warned, if you cite wikipedia as a place of reference, don't be shocked if you receive a failing mark.

Well the Treaty of Versailles (1919 WWI peace treaty) sent Germany into a huge economic downfall with reparations, high inflation, limited military buildup that led to the rise of the Nazis.

Also supply shortages of oil led to several invasions (Germany invading the Russian Caucus oilfields and Japan invading the Dutch East Indies).

Americans had to make sacrifices for war materials and the economy picked up for women, as they took manufacturing jobs for the war effort.

Just a couple thoughts.

Keep in mind all of my data is secondary, (born in 59) But My Dad told me how my grandfather reworked old houses. He said no new home construction was allowed.
This was in Louisiana. My mothers letters from that period to her brothers in the war, talked about saving up sugar, so she could send cookies. meatless and sweetless days.

Reference the "guns for butter" trade off from basic economics class. That'll earn you some points.

You wouldn't be able to really uses these sources as they would be secondary sources and you would have to formally interview and record their answers. Not cite you got info from a message board.

Save yourself a better grade and cite actual first hand sources.

What history class is this? Is this U.S. History after the Civil War or is it a selected topic in history. What does the paper have to be about and how long does it have to be?

Are you writing an a paper about the economic impact that WWII played on the industrial sector of the U.S.?

If it was an open topic, I would write something about the war bond campaign and how the U.S. used this program to help fund the war or how the inclusion of women in the work force was required during this time and changed the belief of what jobs women could or couldn't do as a result.

Oh yeah I have a degree in history....
