Powder Scale

Who makes the best digital powder scale for under $150.00? I have one of the Cabelas models, can't remember which one.

I have a Hornady scale that I have been pretty happy with. I don't use it for powder measurements because it can vary .1-.2 grams in either direction. I use it to sort bullets by weight for my long range loads.

RBCS (or whatever their name is) makes a decent one.

I've been using their chargemaster system for awhile now and like it. I load pistol by volume, but use weight on the rifle rounds.

Irrespective of brand, a line conditioner helps.

I bought a Midway digital scale, and it just sits on my bench unused. I don't like it much. It has a auto shut off that seems to shut off just when I get ready to weight a load. I've gone back to using my RCBS scale (ol' reliable).

Clover

I got the Pact system at Cabela's in the Bargan Cave (Ft Worth store). It has a dispenser and a separate scale linked by IR. The dispensers has course and fine spouts and it learns after a couple of throws how to mimimize dispense time.
I've tried both course stick and ball powder and have had good luck in 0.1 grain repeatability.

The tag on the scale reads $97 and the dispenser was about the same.

No complaints here.

.....x2.....The only thing I could add would be to turn everything on at least a half hour before you use it and make sure the room temperature is and will be stable during your session. I used to have an outside hobby shed and after I turned the thermostat down I would have errors until the room temp stabilized. After that, it held extremely accurate. Buy yourself a set of check weights also. RCBS makes a set and they are great for double checking your scales' accuracy....Be careful,,,,Jim
