Daewoo works pretty fast. Here's a picture of the Atlantis columns I took in Korea last June from the deck of the Thunderhorse.

Unfortunately Atlantis is not close to the Texas gulf coast. Another fish magnet for the LA boys.

saw The platform come through the Jetties at Port Aransas on Thursday Morning. It was a sight to see, kinda eerie actually seeing that thing come through. It was real calm and foggy. Amazing that the boat that was under can take rough seas without tipping over. a buddy of mine is working on the Project in Ingleside.

I worked on the transportation of the topside modules from Amelia, La to Ingleside, TX. I got the news that they arrived safely, three less things to worry about.

Now we just got to get them lifted and installed on the hull.
It's always cool to see the hulls come through the channel. The amount of work and coordination to get them through safely is amazing. BP doesn't want their money makers damaged.

Question from a non oil field type. Just how do you ship something like this from Korea? That must one heck of a weight and balance nightmare. Seems the slightest storm would really rock the boat so to speak.
