Dance Check out my Bilge area

Well it was a mess down there. On the boats last outing I had let Chad "Treybig23" borrow the Hotrod for the Sargent Tourney. Well it almost sunk due to faulty wiring. The guy who had installed all the bildges in the 1st place didn't use any heat shrink or liquid electrical tape. Well good ol Bubba is a jack of all trades. He never ceases to amaze me. He can rewire a complete boat, said he used to do the shrimp boats back in the day. Well he cleaned everything up and re-ran all the wires, installed new float switch, heat shrunk all connections, liquid tape also. Took out alot of old wiring that was not being used. It looks mucho bueno now. Anybody need anything done he does this type of stuff on the side, anything with boats or trailer repair. As always its done right when its done. Hes also a fabricator, anything with metal. Its good to have him as a fishing partner

Liquid tape over heat shrink or even regular crimp connections is the key. Good job to your man.

Works good for trailer connections also. That combined with the sealed capsule will almost eliminate light issues.

On the back deck hatch the spin off covers were leaking. They have been replaced now. Anyway I never had a float switch, just 2 pumps. Well the wires musta finally gave with the salt and the bilges weren't working. Chad was 50+ out when he realized my boat had alot of water. Took him a while to get on plane but when he did he didn't stop till the boat ramp. Its my fault. My boat hardley ever took any water, and after every stop I usually hit the bilge and see if anything pumps out. Glad they made it in safe and all is good now with float switch.
