Panama April 2005

Here are a few pics of our Panama trip from last month. We had a great time. We stayed on the Mama Nido and fished the PICAFLOR. We left out of the Balboa Yacht club for the four hour haul to Pinas Bay. Six miles out of the city we came across a whale shark, pretty cool. We hung out with hime for awhile, then continued on our way. The first day of fishing was great, we went 10 for 14 on sails. The second day was even better, we went 7 for 12 on sails, released 1 stripped marlin, and one blue marlin. that gave us a Grand Slam and an awesome way to end our trip. Many many thanks to our great friends the Richardson family for sharing with us their little peice of paradise.

"Lucy, I'm Home."

Man, you guys sure did better than we did. By the way, I think that pier is the one that was in front of our hotel (country inn and suites I think it was).

You're right, Country Inn Suites. It's the one right next to the Balboa Yacht Club, just before the Bridge of the Americas. We've stayed there before. It's a nice place. Next time you go try the Caeser Park Hotal, it's located downtown. It's one of our favorites.

man that yacht club has sure changed since we kept our boat there. that pier used to be wooden and there weren't near that many boats. but that was almost 50 years ago and you can't stand in the way of progress....rick

Waterdog,
Most of the sails were average size around 105-115 pounds.
